Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certification
Sponsored by the MTBA
Thursday, March 10th, 2016
Monroe Twp. Recreation Center
All MTBA volunteer managers and coaches (Rec and Travel) must have the Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Certification to be allowed on the field and in the dugout with the children of our program; if you are even considering volunteering on the field it is suggested you take this course if you haven't before (this is the only time it will be offered in Monroe prior to the baseball season). This course is open to other organizations and fills fast so pre-register as soon as possible if you need the certification.
Please click here for information on the 2016 scholarship program available to high school seniors that are MTBA alumni.
FIELD CONDITIONS -- GAME/PRACTICE STATUS
As of November 19, 2015, James Monroe Park is closed to ALL activity per the township; there is to be no use of fields or cages until the MTBA executive board specifically provides notice that the park is open for activity (likely when the spring season is drawing near).
Reisers Receive Presidential Award!
Congratulations Su and Carl!!
The MTBA would like to congratulate two great volunteers, Su and Carl Reiser, in being recognized by the White House with the President’s Volunteer Service Silver Award in recognition of their 9+ years of devotion to the Special Needs children of our town in running Monroe Special Sports.
Please continue to support the recovery efforts of MTHS senior Mikey Nichols; Mikey is a former player and umpire in the MTBA that suffered a very serious injury playing for the Monroe Twp HS Hockey Team on January 4th, 2014.
