For Fiscal Year 2018
As noted during the August meeting, nominations for the MTBA Executive Board for fiscal year 2018 will be accepted at the September monthly general membership meeting (September 12th, 7:30 PM at the Rec Center). Nominees must meet the criteria as outlined in the by-laws; voting for the board will take place at the October meeting. Two current board members will be stepping down, so new members are needed!

A voting member is an MTBA member in good standing. A member in good standing is defined as a person who has been in attendance at a minimum of 4 of the last 12 consecutive general membership meetings. In lieu of attending 4 general membership meetings, all Division Directors, Managers and Division Team Parents will receive credit for attendance at one (1) general membership meeting and will only be required to attend three (3) other general membership meetings in order to meet the requirements for voting privileges.

Immediate family is defined herein as spouse, parent, child or sibling.
-- if you are interested in running for a position on the MTBA Executive Board, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know; in addition to or instead of sending an email with your intent, any prospective board member can be nominated at the September meeting by an MTBA member in good standing in attendance at that meeting
-- candidates for Board seats will be announced at the September Monthly General Membership Meeting (September 12th, 7:30 PM at the Rec Center) and elections will take place at the October Monthly General Membership Meeting

2017 Work Bond Refunds
REC WORK BOND REFUNDS: As detailed on the work bond form, refund checks will be issued in person at the September (12th) and October (10th) monthly general membership meetings to those that bring in the completed form and have met the outlined requirements for receiving the refund. In addition, there will be two Saturdays in the fall where you may bring forms to JMP for processing -- September 9th and October 28th from 9 to 10 AM.
TRAVEL WORK BOND REFUNDS: Refund checks will be issued in person at the November (14th) monthly general membership meeting to those that bring in the completed form and have met the outlined requirements for receiving the refund. In addition, there will be one Saturday in the fall where you may bring forms to JMP for processing -- November 11th (this is the current JMP fall cleanup date, so any time during cleanup).
DO NOT mail in or leave your form at the rec center; we will not mail refunds! After the last advertised date we will no longer accept any forms so please make plans to submit your form on one of the above dates (or send it in with a friend on one of those dates).
As noted above, rec and travel work bonds are separate, so please do not to expect to be refunded for both on any given date!
The annual Home Run Derby for Majors division players that hit homers in an MTBA rec or travel game during the 2017 spring season will be held on Thursday, June 15th starting at 7:00 PM on JMP Field 1. Participants should have been contacted by their manager or the division director with details (if not, please check with them).
Qualifying 11-year-olds: Matt Lonczak, Scott Pede, Joe Veczko, Tej Velega
Qualifying 12-year-olds: Vin DiLieto, Nick Galindo, Marco McIntire, Aayush Reddy, Trevor Wallace, Brandon Weiss
The 11-year-olds will go first, immediately followed by the 12-year-olds (separate derbies/winners for each age group).
Please come out and cheer on our big hitters, it's always a fun night at the park!!!
All on-field volunteers are required to complete a background check per Babe Ruth League rules. Please visit our Health and Safety page for more information and for details on how to submit the necessary info for the check if you plan to volunteer on the field. Note that this is separate from the Rutgers SAFETY certification which is also required to work on the field with the children.
Rec and travel managers need to ensure that anyone they allow to coach or otherwise be on the field or in the dugout with the kids has met both of these requirements; if anyone does not meet either requirement then they cannot be allowed to help on the field.
